How To Apply

  • Submit the application for enrollment
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Submit ACT scores if you are age 20 or younger
  • Provide required immunization records:
     - Hepatitis B series
     - MMR (2 doses)
     - Varicella (2 doses)
  • Titers may be accepted in place of immunization records
  • Take and pass the HESI exam, if required for your program
  • Submit your high school transcript or GED scores

General Admission Requirements

  • Enrollment is offered on a first-come, first-served basis based on the date your application is complete. A completed application includes all required enrollment items.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old or have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Students enrolling in full-time programs must declare an occupational objective and demonstrate reasonable potential for achieving that objective.
  • Applicants who are required to register for the Federal Draft under 50 U.S.C. App. Section 453 are not eligible to enroll in any postsecondary school until they have registered with the Selective Service.

Students may be eligible to use VA education benefits for approved programs at the TCAT. 

Please review the currently approved programs through WEAMS. If your program is not listed, contact the School Certifying Official for assistance.

Dual Enrollment

Through partnerships with K–12 school systems, TCAT offers dual enrollment opportunities that can help students earn industry credentials in technical fields while still in high school.

High school students who would like to learn more about dual enrollment opportunities should contact their high school counselor or TCAT Admissions.
